GEARS Robot (Using GEARS Speed Controllers) The XIPMod Master Module provides autonomous control of the Heavy Metal Chassis, Surface Mobility Platform, and other robots from GEARS-EDS. Using the Master Module and the sensors included with your kit, you will be able to make your robot avoid obstacles, track lines on the ground, sense table edges and other hazards, and much more. This tutorial covers GEARS robots powered by GEARS speed controllers, shown in Figure 1. Figure 1. GEARS robot (left) and GEARS speed controller (right).
